About Board of Secondary Education of Andhra Pradesh

Established in 1953, the BSEAP is an autonomous body under the Andhra Pradesh government's Department of Education.

The board has been entrusted with the task of regulating and supervising the system of Secondary Education in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The BSEAP used to conduct examination across undivided Andhra Pradesh but after bifurcation and creation of Telangana, its control is limited to the 13 districts remaining in the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh.

The BSEAP devises the course of study, finalises the syllabus, conduct exams besides carrying other statutory tasks like granting recognitions to schools in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
